CVE-2024-12004

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WPC Order Notes for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.5.2
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax update order note() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts via a forged request. This can happen if attackers can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.5.2, update to a version higher than 1.5.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ajax update order note() function until a patch is available.
