Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tourfic – Ultimate Hotel Booking, Travel Booking & Apartment Booking WordPress Plugin versions up to, and including, 2.15.3
Description
The issue is related to SQL Injection via the
enquiry id parameter of the tf enquiry reply email callback function due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.15.3, update to a version higher than 2.15.3 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
tf enquiry reply email callback function until a patch is available.
Restrict the use of the enquiry id parameter in the affected function to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
