Analytics Cat – Google Analytics Made Easy plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting due to the use of
add query arg without appropriate escaping on the URL. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a specially crafted link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.1.2, update to a version higher than 1.1.2 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality until a patch is available.
Avoid using the
add query arg function without proper escaping in the affected URL until the issue is resolved.Fix
