| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Easy Social Feed WordPress plugin versions prior to 6.5.6
Description
The issue is related to the plugin not validating and escaping some of its shortcode attributes before outputting them back in the page. This could allow users with a role as low as contributor to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks, which could be used against high privilege users such as admin.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 6.5.6, update to version 6.5.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of shortcode attributes to minimize the risk of exploitation.
