CVE-2024-12323

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions turboSMTP plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.6
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the page parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action, such as clicking on a link while logged in to turboSMTP.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.6, consider disabling the page parameter in the turboSMTP plugin for WordPress until a patch is available. Restrict access to the turboSMTP plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the page parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
