CVE-2024-12721

CVSS v3.1

7.2

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Custom Product Tabs For WooCommerce plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.2.4
Description The Custom Product Tabs For WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection via deserialization of untrusted input from the wb custom tabs parameter. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Shop Manager-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software. However, if a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.2.4, consider disabling the deserialization of the wb custom tabs parameter until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the wb custom tabs parameter in the affected plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
