CVE-2024-1311

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Brizy – Page Builder plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.40
Description The issue is related to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the storeImages function. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor access or above to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server, potentially making remote code execution possible.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.4.40, update to a version higher than 2.4.40 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the storeImages function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the plugin's image upload functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation.
