CVE-2024-1317

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The RSS Aggregator by Feedzy – Feed to Post, Autoblogging, News & YouTube Video Feeds Aggregator plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.4.2
Description The issue is related to SQL Injection via the search key parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.4.2, consider disabling the search key parameter until a patch is available to prevent potential SQL Injection attacks. Restrict access to the database to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the search key parameter in affected queries until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
