Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ImageRecycle pdf & image compression plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.1.13
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the
reinitialize function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to remove all plugin data by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.1.13, update to a version that includes the fix for the nonce validation issue in the
reinitialize function.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the reinitialize function to prevent unauthorized use until a patch is available.Fix
