Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
HT Mega – Absolute Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.6
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's blocks due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the
titleTag user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.4.6, consider disabling the blocks feature in the HT Mega – Absolute Addons For Elementor plugin until a patch is available, and restrict access to the
titleTag attribute to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
