| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Sydney Toolbox plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.25
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's aThemes Slider button element due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied links. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For Sydney Toolbox plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.25, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the aThemes Slider button element to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
