CVE-2024-1501

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Database Reset plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.22
Description The issue is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the install wpr() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to install the WP Reset Plugin via a forged request. This can happen if an attacker can trick a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.22, consider disabling the install wpr() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's installation process to minimize the risk of unauthorized installation. Avoid using the plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
