Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Essential Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.9.9
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Data Table widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 5.9.9, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue in the Data Table widget. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Data Table widget for users with contributor-level and above permissions to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
XSS
