| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Royal Elementor Addons and Templates plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.3.94
Description
The issue is related to missing file type validation in the
file validity function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to upload dangerous file types, such as .svgz, which may lead to cross-site scripting or remote code execution.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.3.94, update to a version higher than 1.3.94 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
file validity function until a patch is available. Restrict access to file uploads to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using file types that may be used for cross-site scripting or remote code execution until the issue is resolved.Fix
RCE
