CVE-2024-1711

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Create by Mediavine plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.9.4
Description The issue allows for SQL Injection via the id parameter due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.9.4, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue to prevent SQL Injection attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the id parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation.
