Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Auto Refresh Single Page plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1
Description
The issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject a PHP Object via deserialization of untrusted input from the
arsp options post meta option. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.1, consider disabling the deserialization of untrusted input from the
arsp options post meta option as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the arsp options post meta option to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Deserialization of Untrusted Data
