CVE-2024-1760

CVSS v3.1

4.7

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Appointment Booking Calendar — Simply Schedule Appointments Booking Plugin plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.6.6.20
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ssa factory reset() function. This allows unauthenticated attackers to reset the plugin's settings via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.6.6.20, consider disabling the ssa factory reset() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's settings to minimize the risk of unauthorized resets. Avoid performing actions that could be triggered by forged requests, such as clicking on suspicious links, to reduce the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
