CVE-2024-1767

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Blocksy theme for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.0.26
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's blocks due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes like className and radius. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.0.26, update to a version later than 2.0.26 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's blocks for users with contributor-level and above permissions until a patch is available. Additionally, restrict the use of user-supplied attributes like className and radius to minimize the risk of exploitation.
