CVE-2024-1797

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WP ULike – Most Advanced WordPress Marketing Toolkit plugin versions up to, and including, 4.6.9
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to perform SQL Injection via the status and id attributes of the wp ulike counter and wp ulike shortcodes. This is due to insufficient escaping on user-supplied parameters and lack of sufficient preparation on existing SQL queries, making it possible to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.6.9, update to a version higher than 4.6.9 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the wp ulike counter and wp ulike shortcodes to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the status and id attributes in the affected shortcodes until the issue is resolved.
