| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Oliver POS – A WooCommerce Point of Sale (POS) plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.4.1.8
Description
The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation in the includes/class-pos-bridge-install.php file. This allows unauthenticated attackers to perform unauthorized actions, such as deactivating the plugin, disconnecting the subscription, and syncing the status, by tricking a site administrator into performing an action like clicking on a link.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.4.1.8, update to a version that includes the fix for the missing or incorrect nonce validation in the includes/class-pos-bridge-install.php file.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the includes/class-pos-bridge-install.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
