CVE-2024-1990

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions RegistrationMagic – Custom Registration Forms, User Registration, Payment, and User Login plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 5.3.1.0
Description The issue is related to blind SQL Injection via the id parameter of the RM Form shortcode. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above can append additional SQL queries into already existing queries to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 5.3.1.0, consider disabling the RM Form shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the blind SQL Injection vulnerability. Restrict access to the id parameter to minimize the risk of sensitive information extraction.
