Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
BuddyPress WooCommerce My Account Integration. Create WooCommerce Member Pages plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.4.20
Description
The issue concerns PHP Object Injection via deserialization of untrusted input in the
get simple request function. This allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to inject a PHP Object. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme, it could enable the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 3.4.20, update to a version higher than 3.4.20 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
get simple request function until a patch is available.
Avoid using untrusted input in the get simple request function to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
