CVE-2024-2030

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Database for Contact Form 7, WPforms, Elementor forms plugin for WordPress versions prior to 1.3.4
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's shortcode(s). This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions prior to 1.3.4, update to version 1.3.4 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's shortcode(s) to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict contributor-level and above permissions to trusted users only.
