Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
JetWidgets For Elementor plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.15
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Animated Box widget due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.0.15, update to a version higher than 1.0.15 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Animated Box widget to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, ensure that all users with contributor-level access and above are trusted, as they have the potential to inject malicious scripts.
Fix
XSS
