Description
The issue is related to incorrect restriction of visualizable layers or frames in the user interface, and also involves confusion in buffer lengths when storing and re-accessing data on a networking channel, resulting in an out-of-bounds memory read. This could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Firefox versions prior to 123, update to version 123 or later.
For Firefox ESR versions prior to 115.8, update to version 115.8 or later.
For Thunderbird versions prior to 115.8, update to version 115.8 or later.
