Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Otter Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks, Page Builder for Gutenberg Editor & FSE plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 2.6.4
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the
id parameter in the "google-map" block. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor access and higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 2.6.4, consider disabling the google-map block until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the google-map block to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection. Avoid using the
id parameter in the google-map block until the issue is resolved.Fix
