Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The 130+ Widgets | Best Addons For Elementor – FREE plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.4.2
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's widgets due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.4.2, update to a version later than 1.4.2 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's widgets for users with contributor-level and above permissions until a patch is available.
Restrict the use of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's widgets to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
XSS
