CVE-2024-2258

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Form Maker by 10Web plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.15.24
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting, which occurs due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is exploited through a user's display name being autofilled into forms.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.15.24, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting subscriber-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, avoid using the display name autofill feature in forms until the issue is resolved.
