High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WordPress Plugin for Google Maps – WP MAPS plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.6.1
Description The issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to perform SQL Injection via the id parameter of the "put wpgm" shortcode. This is due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query, making it possible to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For WordPress Plugin for Google Maps – WP MAPS plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.6.1, consider disabling the "put wpgm" shortcode until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the shortcode to minimize the risk of SQL Injection attacks. Avoid using the id parameter in the affected shortcode until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
