CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue is related to the dpu encoder helper phys cleanup() function, which had assumed that hw pp will always be valid. However, this assumption may not be true, and a smatch warning was introduced by the commit 8b45a26f2ba9. The fix involves checking for a valid hw pp before dereferencing it.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
