Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue concerns the construction of delayed ACKs in the Linux kernel, specifically in the rxrpc module. The problem arises because delayed ACKs are not supposed to set the reference serial number, as they cannot be used as a reference for Round-Trip Time (RTT). This is due to the nature of delayed ACKs, which are acknowledgments sent after a certain delay, and thus, their timing does not accurately reflect the RTT.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
