Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue is related to the geneve rx() function in the Linux kernel, where a bug was triggered by syzbot. The problem is similar to one that was previously fixed in the ip6 tunnel module. To resolve the issue, it is necessary to save the skb->network header in a temporary variable to recompute the network header pointer after a pskb inet may pull() call. The pskb inet may pull() function ensures that the needed headers are in the skb->head. The vulnerability is related to an uninit-value in the IP ECN decapsulate function and the geneve rx function.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
