5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The vulnerability is related to a deadlock issue in the scsi: hisi sas module, which can occur when a disabling PHY command is issued and a 2-bit ECC error happens at the same time, causing a hung task. The issue is due to the hisi hba semaphore being obtained and the ABORT DEV command being sent to the device, but the internal abort timing out due to the ECC error and triggering an automatic dump. As a result, the dump cannot be executed, and the controller cannot be reset, leading to deadlocks.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
