Description The vulnerability is related to the iommu/vt-d component of the Linux kernel. It occurs when a device is disconnected, and the system attempts to send an ATS Invalidation request for a non-existent target device, causing a deadly loop and resulting in a hard lockup warning and system hang. The issue is triggered by the pciehp ist() function's response to a DLLSC interrupt sequence, which unloads the device driver and powers off the device. This vulnerability can cause a kernel panic and system crash.
