Description A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue occurs when plugging in a Thunderbolt 1 device, causing the system to crash. This is due to the fact that some Thunderbolt 1 devices only have one lane adapter. The fix involves checking for the lane 1 before reading its credits. The vulnerability is related to the tb port update credits() function and the tb port do update credits() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
