Description
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. The issue occurs when plugging in a Thunderbolt 1 device, causing the system to crash. This is due to the fact that some Thunderbolt 1 devices only have one lane adapter. The fix involves checking for the lane 1 before reading its credits. The vulnerability is related to the
tb port update credits() function and the tb port do update credits() function.Recommendations
