Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The issue arises from Nouveau deallocating a few buffers post GPU init that are required for GPU suspend/resume to function correctly. This is more significant in multi-GPU setups, leading to a regression where the kernel module errors and results in a system-wide rendering freeze. The commit addresses this regression by moving the two buffers required for suspend and resume to be deallocated at driver unload instead of post init.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
