Description The issue arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the URL attribute of the Button widget, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages. These scripts will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.6.9.3, consider disabling the Button widget's URL attribute until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the Button widget for users with contributor access or higher to minimize the risk of arbitrary web script injection.
