Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
The Royal Elementor Addons and Templates plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.3.96
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Image Grid & Advanced Text widget HTML tags due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes, such as
HTML tags. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 1.3.96, update to a version higher than 1.3.96 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Image Grid & Advanced Text widget for users with contributor-level access and above until a patch is available.
Fix
