| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.19 and earlier
Description
The issue is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim’s browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to conduct cross-site scripting attacks.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.19 and earlier, consider disabling the vulnerable form fields until a patch is available to prevent malicious script injection. Restrict access to the affected pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the vulnerable fields in the affected versions until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
