Description The issue is related to SQL Injection via the run function of the IG ES Subscribers Query class due to insufficient escaping on the user-supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The estimated number of potentially affected devices worldwide is over 90,000 websites.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 5.7.14, update to version 5.7.15 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the IG ES Subscribers Query class and its run function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user-supplied parameters in SQL queries until the issue is resolved.
