Tenda FH1202 version 1.2.0.14(408)
Description
A critical issue has been found in the Tenda FH1202 router, affecting the
formexeCommand function in the /goform/execCommand file. The manipulation of the cmdinput argument leads to a stack-based buffer overflow, which can be initiated remotely. An exploit for this issue has been publicly disclosed and can be used. The vendor was contacted about this issue but did not respond.Recommendations
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
formexeCommand function in the /goform/execCommand file until a patch is available. Restrict access to the /goform/execCommand file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the cmdinput argument in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
