CVE-2024-29879

CVSS v3.1

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Sentrifugo version 3.2
Description The issue is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could allow a remote user to send a specially crafted URL to the victim and steal their session data. This is achieved through the /sentrifugo/index.php/index/getdepartments/format/html API endpoint, specifically by exploiting the business id parameter.
Recommendations For Sentrifugo version 3.2, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the /sentrifugo/index.php/index/getdepartments/format/html API endpoint until a patch is available. Additionally, avoid using the business id parameter in this endpoint to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
