CVE-2024-3229

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The Salon booking system plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 10.2
Description The issue is related to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the SLN Action Ajax ImportAssistants function, along with missing authorization checks. This allows unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server, which may make remote code execution possible.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 10.2, consider disabling the SLN Action Ajax ImportAssistants function until a patch is available to prevent arbitrary file uploads. Restrict access to the affected plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the plugin until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
