Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.19 and earlier
Description
The issue is a DOM-based Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable web pages. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim’s browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable script, resulting in arbitrary code execution in the context of the victim's browser. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.19 and earlier, consider disabling the execution of JavaScript code in the browser as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to vulnerable web pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable scripts in web pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
