Description
A logic error in the
setForceHideNonSystemOverlayWindowIfNeeded function of WindowState.java allows message content to be visible on the screensaver while lock screen visibility settings are restricted by the user. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to the
setForceHideNonSystemOverlayWindowIfNeeded function of WindowState.java to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Improper Privilege Management
