CVE-2024-3519

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 3.15
Description The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the lang parameter due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The vulnerability is being actively exploited.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 3.15, consider disabling the lang parameter until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the Media Library Assistant plugin to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the lang parameter in affected pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
