CVE-2024-3549
CVSS v3.1
9.9
Critical
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 7.4.1
Description
The issue allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to extract sensitive information from the database due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied
b2sSortPostType parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This enables attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 7.4.1, consider restricting access to the
b2sSortPostType parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limiting subscriber-level access and above may also help reduce the attack surface.Fix
SQL injection
