CVE-2024-3554

CVSS v3.1

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions The All in One SEO – Best WordPress SEO Plugin – Easily Improve SEO Rankings & Increase Traffic plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 4.6.0
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the plugin's shortcodes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages, which will execute when a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 4.6.0, update to a version higher than 4.6.0 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
