Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
LearnPress – WordPress LMS Plugin versions up to, and including, 4.2.6.4
Description
The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerability is exploited via the
id value.Recommendations
For versions up to, and including, 4.2.6.4, update to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue to prevent Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting contributor-level access and above to minimize the risk of exploitation.
