VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue is related to the Linux kernel, where a vulnerability has been resolved. The vulnerability is described as avoiding dereference of garbage after mount failure. In case kern mount() fails and returns an error pointer, the code now returns in the error branch instead of continuing and dereferencing the error pointer. Additionally, a never-read static variable selinuxfs mount is dropped.
